As bikers we all accept that in the event of an accident we are most likely to come off worse regardless really of the other vehicles (if any) that are involved in the accident with us. I have always been grateful and appreciative of ambulance workers as the work they do is truely extremely challenging but miraculous in many ways and I think that should be recognised! In a bid from the South East Coast Ambulance service in conjunction with the Highways Agency they have launched a tool to try to make their job easier and to help them help more bikers in the future.
The Motorcycle CRASH card scheme is fundamentally a way to help paramedics to best help you as a biker. In the event that a biker is involved in an accident it is highly possible the biker may well have lost consciousness, therefore a paramedic put forward a simple plan to allow bikers to help themselves in this situation. This has become known as the“Crash Card” – The pack that you can recieve contains a small card on which you are asked to complete vital information such as Next of Kin, and any medical history that could be life saving for the biker, this is from as simple a piece of information as blood group to any existing complication.
The card is then kept in your helmet, also included in the pack is a green sticker for the biker to stick to the outside of your helmet to alert paramedics and other medical staff that a card is within the helmet for their information.
This is a simple but potentially life saving action ALL BIKERS should complete and we at Deen Riders fully support this scheme and so make sure you order yours free today by clicking here.
